Posters discussing exclusion (cultural issues) on campus, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Student Senate will be presenting on October 1st, 3:00 \u2013 3:50PM<\/li>\n<li><b>Tasks<\/b>: Create agenda for the workshop and come up with more ideas<\/li>\n<li>Homecoming:<\/li>\n<li>We had a booth and made caramel apple<\/li>\n<li><b>Tasks<\/b>: Get the tent (and set up), caramel, toppings, apples (100+):\n<ul>\n<li><b>Cicero<\/b> will get the tent<\/li>\n<li><b>Pickard<\/b> will talk to Longa, who had previously gotten apples donated to us before<\/li>\n<li><b>St. Pierre<\/b> will talk to one of our friends<\/li>\n<li>We can contact East Farm to see if we can volunteer hours for apples<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ace of Cakes:<\/li>\n<li>Last year, we had Student organizations make a cake to win a prize based on a certain criteria; this year, we want to open it up to anyone (e.g. Greek life, res halls, etc.) but we also want to open it up for collaboration<\/li>\n<li>It may be able to replace the gingerbread house event<\/li>\n<li><b>Tasks<\/b>:\n<ul>\n<li>Not yet discussed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Increase communication between MC student organizations<\/li>\n<li>Cultural affairs will start trying to attend at least one meeting of each MC student organization (19 MCC groups?)<\/li>\n<li><b>Tasks<\/b>:\n<ul>\n<li><b>Sim<\/b> will talk to MCC Director Wade about contacting the MC groups\u2019 president and find out their meeting times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Other initiatives:<\/li>\n<li>Do an annual dance\n<ul>\n<li>Get a photo booth, find a DJ (student), find a venue (Ryan Center, Mackal, Union)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Water Fire at Ellery Pond\n<ul>\n<li>Get photo booth, get vendors and performances from the student organizations to bring in community together a few times each semester<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>MEETING ADJOURNMENT TIME: <\/b>02:15 PM<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>MEETING START TIME: 01:33 PM ATTENDANCE: Cicero, Pickard, Sim, St. Pierre COMMITTEE DISCUSSION: Updates: Chris Cicero met with Melvin Wade, MCC Director, and Anne, LGBT Center Director Wade: talked to Wade about diverse rooming assignments with HRL Diversity Week: Activities we did last year: Stand up, Sit down.
