DOC \u2013 Native American Group wants their event to be spotlighted I\u2019m going to highlight them and just keep going with it and if you guys talk to any other organizations can you find out if any others want to be put in. Not just anyone \u2013 just the legitimate ones.<\/p>\n

Cultural \u2013 3 people on committee. Moving time to Mondays at 4. if your gonna be on cultural the new thing I wanna do is require that once a month if your on cultural affairs you need to go to at least one event and write me some notes on it because the multicultural groups were \u201cfuming\u201d over senate\u2019s consistent absence from most\/all of their events. Is it ok to make things like that mandatory for my committee?<\/p>\n

SOARC \u2013 talked about the multicultural groups and how we could alleviate their concerns. Maybe possibly having all senators go to at least one event as part of the senate outreach program. Diversity week is next week. I haven\u2019t been able to get a hold of NAACP or the HDF club.<\/p>\n

VP \u2013 Bad mood. Roar. Mandatory retreat. Lame excuses. Only 3 people have let me know they aren\u2019t going but I know way more than that can\u2019t go. I need your minutes from the meetings \u2013 send them from your own accounts not underlings.<\/p>\n

President \u2013 Dr. Dooley and his wife hosting people at his house \u2013 and want senate to be the first ones up there. The date they offered me is Sunday (day of the retreat). I need to know who on senate would be interested.<\/p>\n

President \u2013 we\u2019ll be going on October 4th<\/sup> at 7 then. And I will open up Sunday up for other groups to go. We have a meeting with the president and the vice presidents in the green hall conference room at 4-6 on Tuesday. At 6 we will meet in the union with Bruce about the projects \u2013 because we have to be careful about how we handle the money and make sure everyone is on board. At the meeting wednesday we will have a closed meeting in the senate to go over it.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Treasurer + Cultural \u2013 what projects?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n President \u2013 well we have around million dollars typically (one years budget) on reserve in case something happens, like the radio tower falling down. We currently have 1.3+, and we would like to bring that number back down, so we are looking into lighting the intermural fields, putting in another outdoor basketball court (unlikely), a rock wall in the area of north woods ropes course. Wouldn\u2019t have to pay for climbing passes anymore if we got that. Also want to talk to Bruce about a possible parking garage. We would be contributing into these projects, not solely funding them.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n SOARC \u2013 are exec meetings open to regular senators?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n President \u2013 yeah they are.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Treasurer \u2013 whats the status of homecoming?<\/p>\n <\/p>\n President \u2013 jon stewart turned us down. All of the other possible acts have also turned us down as of now but Mike Nolf (SPELLING FAIL) is looking into a few other options. Worse come to worse we can have a small thing in Eddy.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n DOC \u2013 maybe we could have another battle of the bands type thing instead if we cant find anything.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n President \u2013 other than that we are going to have a hot dog eating contest at Rhode ville, this time we\u2019ll have buns. I\u2019m going to report tonight at the meeting that the senate representatives and liaisons will be playing a more active role. I\u2019m going to collect reports from liaisons at the end of every month starting next month.
