Lori Gardener from ProJo<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>College readership- last time they were here Spring 2007<\/li>\n<li>Changes in rate: governing board has relaxed rules of college readership from 12 cents per paper to 1 cent per paper<\/li>\n<li>Papers in 6 academic buildings and libraries<\/li>\n<li>ProJo will put white boxes there with signage with encouraging messages and the fact that papers are free<\/li>\n<li>35 papers in 7 locations- 235 papers 5 days a week comes out to $12.35 per month<\/li>\n<li>Also could do Sunday papers(1 cent)<\/li>\n<li>They have program in every college except RISD and Roger Williams<\/li>\n<li>To advertise, put an ad in 5 cent cigar, URI tv<\/li>\n<li>Can cancel contract at any time<\/li>\n<li>We can skew the number of papers in locations (add\/cut back number of papers\/locations)<\/li>\n<li>Bill at the end of every month<\/li>\n<li>No delivery or installation fee<\/li>\n<li>ProJo.com is free as of right now<\/li>\n<li>Maybe we could try this for a semester<\/li>\n<li>Make sure the papers are in high traffic areas<\/li>\n<li>Find a better place in FAC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>II. Academic<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dave\u2019s committee will figure out how many papers and where they are going<\/li>\n<li>Building a website to do self-advising<\/li>\n<li>Link course requirements<\/li>\n<li>Advice on double majoring\/ minoring<\/li>\n<li>Compile a big list of scholarships available<\/li>\n<li>IDEA\u2019s no longer online<\/li>\n<li>If results not public by the end of the semester Senate will issue a statement urging students not to fill them out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>III. SOARC<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>President\u2019s meeting went well<\/li>\n<li>Meetings at 5:30 now<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>IV. Finance<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handbook bill on floor<\/li>\n<li>R\u2019s have to request to get FBP<\/li>\n<li>Meeting Monday at 8<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>V. Treasurer<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some stipends went up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VI. Vice President<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chairs your minutes should be headed like this: subject ____ _____ date<\/li>\n<li>Keep attendance and type of attach minutes<\/li>\n<li>Due by Friday or if meeting is on Friday, by Monday<\/li>\n<li>URI TV News and 411 do not want to merge together<\/li>\n<li>Breast cancer walk is October 25<sup>th<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Retreat Sunday September 27<sup>th<\/sup> at noon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VII. External<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coalition meeting October 8<sup>th<\/sup>-open panel forum discussion, Dave is moderating, Gabby from MADD<\/li>\n<li>Speakers are a Narragansett police officer, Tom Doogan, MADD, Amanda. They get 5 minutes each and then questions after<\/li>\n<li>6:30-8 on Thursday<\/li>\n<li>Recycling plan for Narragansett<\/li>\n<li>Dave has lawsuit binder<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VIII. Campus<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hertz- renting cars on campus to save money<\/li>\n<li>Waiting on response from other survey monkeys to see if we can do it<\/li>\n<li>Safety and lighting done this week<\/li>\n<li>RIPTA signs stolen<\/li>\n<li>Commuter parking is fine<\/li>\n<li>Ellery Pond TBA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>IX. Elections<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ad designs done<\/li>\n<li>We need money for dum dums though we still have stickers<\/li>\n<li>Sign in sheet for election booth<\/li>\n<li>Any senators in the office need to go to the booth<\/li>\n<li>September 30<sup>th<\/sup> and October 1<sup>st<\/sup><\/li>\n<li>On the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> having an information booth from 11-4<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>X.
