agendas-order based on importance<\/li>\n<li>Attended DIVE RI and hair show\n<ul>\n<li>Both huge success!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Students Rights and Responsibilities: making progress<\/li>\n<li>JCAP: academic plan for next 5 years (2016-2021)\n<ul>\n<li>Want Student Senate to host Student Summit to get students voices heard<\/li>\n<li>Will discuss fund allocation, how professors are evaluated, etc<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday April 22 from 3:30-5 in Atrium 1<\/li>\n<li>Free food, RSVP required<\/li>\n<li>Will also discuss research, equity and diversity, advanced learning, globalization, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Want 40 to 50 students\n<ul>\n<li>What student groups?\n<ul>\n<li>Big thinkers<\/li>\n<li>Marine science society<\/li>\n<li>All academic<\/li>\n<li>College Democrats and Republicans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>*Spread the word!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Earth Week<\/li>\n<li>Exec has approved allocating funds to allow them to play Wall-E<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>VP:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Want each committee to take the new senators and teach them pertinent things about Senate-introduce them to main faculty, show them around office, etc<\/li>\n<li>Welcome Day Booths are coming up<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>SOARC:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Met with committee yesterday<\/li>\n<li>Have one new group going on for tomorrow<\/li>\n<li>Budgets are still frozen for several groups and they have been contacted<\/li>\n<li>NASO and Dressage know they are at risk for de-recognition if they do not respond<\/li>\n<li>Working on making advisors in her committee to keep Senate more informed\n<ul>\n<li>Will assign a certain committee to be a liaison for certain groups to allow Senate to be more active with student groups<\/li>\n<li>Will facilitate more communication<\/li>\n<li>Will work on categories in upcoming weeks once committee is established<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Finance:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Handbook changes in the fall<\/li>\n<li>Budget is big deal for second semester<\/li>\n<li>Want to present Finance Handbook before the end of the semester and have it voted on then so student groups will have it for the summer\n<ul>\n<li>However, if you don\u2019t have a 2 term chair, you can\u2019t write it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Need to change Senate culture regarding knowledge of general senators\n<ul>\n<li>Impacts how they vote on bills regarding student tax money<\/li>\n<li>Workshop needed to help introduce senators to what financing is about<\/li>\n<li>Every senator should know a baseline about Finance and SOARC\n<ul>\n<li>Want to make general Senate more accessible to general community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Have $30,000 in tax funds to work with<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Treasurer:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Cosponsorship money: $5,700<\/li>\n<li>SAS wants $300-350 for Earth Week<\/li>\n<li>Stipends are out<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Academic:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>UAC are working on academic modeling<\/li>\n<li>Academic Calendars have come to agreement on formatting and structure\n<ul>\n<li>Nobody liked the old format and categorizing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Provost canceled last meeting to go to JCAP instead<\/li>\n<li>Two priorities for upcoming year are CELS and Arts and Sciences\n<ul>\n<li>Need liaisons more accountable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Also want to work on approving and categorizing more academic groups on campus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CIO:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Need transition material from President (Maynard), DOC, DOM, and Cultural<\/li>\n<li>Want to work on some last goals before end of year\n<ul>\n<li>Big revamp of website<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Cultural:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rhody Paws\n<ul>\n<li>Will give donations to Puppy Raisers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Diversity Awards are coming up<\/li>\n<li>DIVERI was great<\/li>\n<li>CVSA is having an events week<\/li>\n<li>SAGE is having an event coming up<\/li>\n<li>Holocaust Remembrance Week is the week of April 16th<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Campus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working on RhodyRama<\/li>\n<li>Want to work with Dining Services to improve events for students and better accessibility<\/li>\n<li>Next year, want to work with Housing, Dining, etc to see if they have ideas to improve the campus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>DOC:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Will be promoting Rhody Paws<\/li>\n<li>Want a retractable poster to
