\n\u2022 Attended: Head coach, head of campus rec, coordinator of sailing and facilities, treasurer of sailing club and future president, current captain, current VP, and other co-captain
\n\u2022 Hoping to start a partnership between themselves and senate
\n\u2022 38 new sailboats
\n\u2022 Infancy stages of launching a fundraising campaign; seeking a partnership with senate for a complete and significant overhaul which hasn\u2019t been performed since 1989-1992
\n\u2022 Sailing club started in 1935
\n\u2022 From the 80\u2019s to the 2000s URI has attended 11 world championships in France, and in 1990 they won; only US college team to do this
\n\u2022 2 seasons: Fall and Spring
\n\u2022 Practice 4 days a week
\n\u2022 Academic classes utilize the sailing center\u2014around 40-50 students taking those classes
\n\u2022 Summer rec program is open to community members and students
\n\u2022 Needs new boats because they need modern equipment in facilities\u2014leads to talent for students coming in
\n\u2022 Competing against Brown, Salve, and Roger Williams
\n\u2022 The cost of this overhaul will not exceed $350,000
\n\u2022 38 new boats: 18 competitive FJs, 12 club boats, and 8 shared boats (420s)
