Second in command to the editor-in-chief.\u00a0 Is in charge of staff and make sure that everything is on track.\u00a0 Thursdays, assist editor by helping assigning story.\u00a0 Weekend, check in with editors and see how stories are going.\u00a0 Monday, see how stories are going.\u00a0 Tuesday, check in with editors again and write own story.\u00a0 Wednesday, overlook all the stories.\u00a0 Stories are not finished until three people have edited it.\u00a0 After copy-edit, put the stories onto the computer.\u00a0 Sometimes the process is not complete until 3 in the morning.\u00a0 Keep track of everything.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Attended welcome days and first night help recruit new students to the paper.\u00a0 Talk to journalism classes to advertise the group to students.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Filled in for photo editor when the photo editor is unavailable.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Vote: (6-0-0)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Staff Writers (6 people in position)\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Required to write two articles a week.\u00a0 Stories are assigned Thursday, reporters have the opportunity to select what kind of story they wish to write.\u00a0 By Tuesday, required to have contacted two sources and scheduled interviews.\u00a0 Stories are due Thursday.\u00a0 If stories drop, get reassigned stories are reach out to people again.\u00a0 If there are no responses, different stories are assigned to the reporter.\u00a0 Transcribe interviews for accuracy.\u00a0 Spend about 9-10 hours working a week.\u00a0 Have done video stories and newscasts to put stories in a visual form.\u00a0 Video stories take more time than written stories.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">The team of staff reporters is required to ensure that the paper can publish many the many stories required by the bylaws.\u00a0 Staff reporters are held accountable to write two stories each.\u00a0 This ensures that there at least 12 stories to put into the paper.\u00a0 Non-staff reporters also contribute to the paper.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">The Good 5 Cent Cigar gives others the opportunities to share their stories.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Can be required to produce a supplemental graphic to ensure that stories have accompanying photos if photographers are unavailable.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Vote (on whether the position should be stipended): (6-0-0)<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Vote (on having stipends for 6 people for the position): (6-0-0)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Entertainment Editor\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Responsible for assembling the stories for the week.\u00a0 Help students get in touch with student artists, musicians, actors, writers for interviews.\u00a0 Responsible for telling students about events on and off campus.\u00a0 Provides a means for students in the entertainment field to get their work out there.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Wednesday: helps coordinates which stories go where and organizes the layout of the paper.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Checks in Sunday and Monday with reporters to ensure that everything is fine.\u00a0 Stories are due in on Tuesday night.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Spend 16 to 20 hours weekly working on paper.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Designs the layout for the entertainment section of the paper.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Consistently 2 pages of entertainment stories weekly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Try to keep the stories more campus oriented, but also features some stories from around the state.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Vote: (6-0-0)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Sports Editor\n<ul>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">In charge of content and layout of sports section.\u00a0 In addition, required to write at least one story a week.\u00a0 Thursday, meet with writers and assign stories.\u00a0 Give media contact information to the reporters.\u00a0 Tell reporters what angle the editor is looking for.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">On story of his\/her own choosing, contact photo editor to get photos.\u00a0 On weeks without games, contact media relations person of athletic department to get photo of athletes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Report to managing editor on Monday to inform them of how the stories are coming along<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">10-20 hours week.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">The sports section averages 4-5 sports stories weekly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"minutes_text\">Vote:
