This course introduces students to the concepts and forms of burial and commemoration in New England from the 17th century period of European colonization to the early 20th century. It is primarily a field course and students will visit various sites around the state of Rhode Island. Prerequisite: ART 251 or 252, or permission of instructor. May be repeated with a different topic for maximum of 6 credits.
