Your school counselors can assist you in submitting the following documents electronically via the Common Application.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>All admission documents must be submitted through the Common Application no later than January 15. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>DO NOT SEND DOCUMENTS DIRECTLY TO TALENT DEVELOPMENT.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Official transcript(s) of applicants who are currently in high school must include first-quarter senior year grades.&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Letter of recommendation&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Official copy of the GED scores (if applicable)&nbsp;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Official copy of the CCRI transcript with first semester grades (if applicable)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>&nbsp;* The University of Rhode Island (URI) is &#8220;test optional.&#8221; You do not have to submit your SAT or ACT scores for consideration.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><b style=\"color: #555555;font-family: Lato, Hind, Arial, sans-serif;font-size: 1.2rem\">Application Process&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Apply to TD through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commonapp.org\/explore\/university-rhode-island\">Common Application<\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Check the box on the Common Application to indicate interest in Talent Development<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Enter the Application Fee Waiver Code<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">High school students may obtain a Fee Waiver Code from their school counselors<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">CCRI transfer students and those not currently enrolled in school should contact the Admissions office at 401-874-7000 to obtain a Fee Waiver Code<\/span><\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Complete the TD Supplemental Essay (250-500 words) addressing why you feel you are eligible for the TD program and how the program&#8217;s opportunities will help you achieve your academic, professional, and\/or personal goals.
