The play blends historical fact with fiction, using modern language and humor to explore themes of feminism, activism, violence, and legacy, all while leading to the guillotine. It&#8217;s described as a &#8220;comedy, a quartet, a revolutionary dream fugue, a true story&#8221; that questions if art can change the world.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><em>Charlotte&#8217;s Web<\/em><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Adapted by Joseph Robinette<br>Based on the Book by E.B. Will Theatre<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Children&#8217;s Literature Association named this &#8220;the best American children&#8217;s book of the past two hundred years,&#8221; and Joseph Robinette, working with the advice of E.B. White, has created a play that captures this work in a thrilling and utterly theatrical presentation.<strong><em> <\/em><\/strong>Robinette&#8217;s faithful adaptation brings the story of Wilbur the pig and his spider friend Charlotte to life on stage. All the enchanting characters are here: Wilbur, the irresistible young pig who desperately wants to avoid the butcher; Fern, a girl who understands what animals say to each other; Templeton, the gluttonous rat who can occasionally be talked into a good deed; and, most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte, who proves to be \u201ca true friend and a good writer.\u201d Determined to save Wilbur, Charlotte mounts a victorious campaign which ends with the now-safe Wilbur doing what is most important to Charlotte.
