Dr. Correia has nearly 20 years of experience teaching Multilingual Learners and coordinating language programs in Prek-12 and university contexts.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She is the Vice-Chair of Rhode Island\u2019s MLL Advisory Council.&nbsp;<br>As a&nbsp;former MLL teacher and administrator, she uses a practitioner and equity-driven lens when conducting research on the design, implementation, and evaluation of language programs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She&nbsp;has extensive experience fostering university and district partnerships to effectively design professional development programs and coursework to prepare educators to support MLLs.&nbsp;Dr. Correia has served as an expert in online and hybrid instruction for the College, University, and regional partners and is the current Assessment Coordinator for Graduate Programs at URI.&nbsp;She has also served as an MLL Ambassador for the state of Rhode Island, where she developed the state\u2019s only cohort for educational leaders to learn about MLLs within their context.
