Welcome Back URI Students!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Fall Shuttle and On-Demand service will begin on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are a few updates to the shuttle routes due to the construction on campus. Please review each route below for updates. Please be aware that construction on campus may cause delays. For the first few weeks of school, please allow extra time to get to campus, park and ride our shuttles to class.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhody Shuttle Service is available around campus. All shuttles are ADA accessible and available to visitors, students, faculty, and staff. The shuttles operate Monday through Friday starting 7:30 a.m. with service, on average, every 8-20 minutes. Shuttles do not operate on weekends or holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shuttle Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When does Rhody Transportation run?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The shuttle service operates while URI is in session during the fall and spring semesters. It does not operate during winter, spring or summer breaks. It also does not operate on Thanksgiving or Christmas break, New Year’s Day and other major holidays observed by URI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhody Ram Line<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Ram Line provides service to the Memorial Union,\u00a0Quad, Engineering Complex, Upper College Rd and Gateway Apartments.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update Fall 2026:<\/strong> Due to area construction projects, the Ram Line, which previously serviced Graduate Village or Independence Square, will be incorporated into the Blue Line route. Please see the Blue Line below.
Frequency:\u00a0 Monday to Friday: 7:30am-5:00pm, with service running every 15-20 mins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Service on Saturdays \/ Sundays and holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhody Blue Line<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Blue Line provides serve Keaney Parking Lots, Boss Ice Arena, Fraternity Circle, Independence Square and Residential areas connecting them with the URI Student Memorial Union and the academic core of the campus. \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Update Fall 2026:<\/strong> Riders who previously used the Ram Line to Independence Square should utilize the shuttle stop near Boss Ice Arena lot.
Frequency:\u00a0 Monday to Friday: 7:30am-7:00pm, with service running every 8-15 mins.\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

No Service on Saturdays\/ Sundays and holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhody Hill Climber<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

During peak commuting hours, the Rhody Hill Climber runs in a continuous loop from the Plains Road parking lot through the core of the campus all the way up to Upper College Road.  
Frequency:  Monday to Friday: 7:30am-6:00pm and Fridays until 3:30 with service running every 8-15 mins.  No Service on Saturdays \/ Sundays and holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhodyville<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Rhodyville Line is a bi-directional route that serves Plains Rd, Quad, Engineering, Butterfield Rd and the URI Student Memorial Union.
Frequency:  Monday to Friday: 7:30am-7:00pm with service running every 20 mins.  No Service on Saturdays \/ Sundays and holidays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rhody Evening Shuttle<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Rhody Night Line runs in a continuous loop from Plains Road parking lot through the quad and down Butterfield Rd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Frequency: Monday to Friday: 7:00pm -11:00pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event Shuttle Service<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Shuttle service is available for special events on a limited basis.  If your organization or department needs a shuttle for an on-campus event, you may request one by completing the Shuttle Request Form<\/a>.  All shuttle requests must be made fourteen (14) business days in advance of the date of the event. The current rental rate is $140\/hr with a 4 hour consecutive minimum to book the shuttle. The start time begins from when the bus departs the garage until it returns. Please assume an additional 30 minutes charged with the trip time to account for travel. As soon as the shuttle is scheduled, it is the event organizer\u2019s responsibility to ensure that attendees are notified of the appropriate locations for pickups and drop-offs.<\/p>\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
