Board a RIPTA bus<\/strong><br><strong>2. Swipe your valid URI ID at the farebox<\/strong><br><strong>3. Find a seat and enjoy the ride!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your ride is electronically recorded, and URI is billed directly by RIPTA. URI reviews ridership information each month to ensure the program is being used by current members of the University community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your ID. Your Ride.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your URI ID is for <strong>your use only<\/strong> when riding RIPTA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please remember:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your URI ID must be valid and current.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IDs that are lost, stolen, canceled, or obsolete will not work on RIPTA fareboxes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Do not share your URI ID with anyone.<\/strong> Sharing an ID is prohibited and may result in the card being confiscated by the RIPTA driver.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The person using the ID must be the person pictured on the card.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Frequent Service.<\/strong>&nbsp; Frequent&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripta.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RIPTA service<\/a>&nbsp;is available to and from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Train Station. <\/strong>Please click the route below for a schedule showing all the times RIPTA buses leave campus to go to the train station and return from the train station to campus:&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/transportation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/834\/RIPTA_Train-Station-Schedule-RT-64.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rt 64<\/a> or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/transportation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/834\/RIPTA_Train-Station-Schedule-RT-66.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Rt 66<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>South Kingstown\/Narragansett.<\/strong>&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripta.com\/routes\/69\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Route 69<\/a>&nbsp;was recently added to continue service between URI and South Kingstown\/Narragansett.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Providence<\/strong>.&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripta.com\/routes\/66\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Route 66<\/a>&nbsp;provides service to and from Providence (including the train station) to URI.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bay Campus and East Bay.<\/strong>&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripta.com\/routes\/64\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Route 64<\/a>&nbsp;links the Bay and Kingston campuses with Newport and connects to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripta.com\/routes\/60\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Route 60<\/a>, which serves the East Bay from Providence to Newport; Please click on each link to see the most recent route schedule and a route map.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Going Somewhere Without a Bus Route?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Try RIPTA Flex On-Demand!<\/strong> <strong>It\u2019s flexible transportation that comes to you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">RIPTA Flex On-Demand provides convenient transportation within designated Flex Zones. Use the RIPTA app to request a ride, view your estimated pickup time, track your vehicle in real time, and receive an alert when your ride arrives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Flex Service.<\/strong>&nbsp; RIPTA offers&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripta.com\/flex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Flex Service<\/a>&nbsp;as a public transportation option to areas that have little or no fixed-route service. The name Flex is short for flexible service because it offers passengers the option of picking up the Flex van at a scheduled stop or choosing their own pick-up or drop-off point within the designated Flex Zone. Flex provides local service within its zone as well as connections to RIPTA\u2019s network of statewide service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To use Flex Service, passengers can either make a reservation 24 hours in advance by calling 401-784-9500 ext. 1220 or boarding the Flex Vehicle at any of the scheduled Flex Stops within the Flex Zone.
