Dave Barrett, BS ’78, brings over 40 years of entrepreneurial, executive leadership & venture investing experience in technology & healthcare industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dave has been a Managing Partner of Polaris Partners, a venture capital & growth equity firm focused on healthcare technology & life sciences, for the past 26 years. Over that time, he has helped to build billions of dollars in market value and create thousands of jobs across the nation. He has served as a founder, founding investor, or chair for many of the companies with which he’s partnered and as a mentor to hundreds of innovators across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in his career, he helped scale & lead three software companies through industry leadership & public operations, serving as both an entrepreneur & executive. He has served on the Board of Trustees of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, on its endowment’s investment committee, and as an advisor to its venture investment efforts for 17 years. He has served on the Board of the URI Foundation, on its investment committee, as an Edwards Society advisor to President Parlange, and on the College of Business Dean’s advisory board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
