Beaupre Center for Chemical &amp; Forensic Sciences, Room 100<\/h3>\n<p>Kwaku Sintim-Misa, a Ghanaian satirist\/comedian, political commentator, TV host, and writer, will discuss humor and satire as powerful modes of persuasive discourse on difficult issues. Using his distinctive style of lecture interwoven with dramatic performance, KSM\u2014as he is popularly known in Ghana\u2014illustrates how humor, comedy, and satire can influence public opinion to spark social change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The event is\u00a0co-hosted by Office of the Provost and the Harrington School of Communication and Media.<br \/>\n<em>If you need a reasonable accommodation, please call 401.874.4359 at least five business days in advance. He describes himself as \u201can ordinary man with extra-ordinary passion.\u201d At the age of 19, he performed his first professional one-man play \u201cMellow Madness,\u201d where he thrilled audiences in Ghana with a two-hour full-length performance playing seven different characters on stage. KSM rose to preeminence in the arts with two decades of sold out live shows, compelling movie and television productions, and the longest running number one talk show in Ghana.
