Produced using well established methods, and processed in state certified laboratories, this information is used by the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management for assessing the State&#8217;s waters, as well as by municipal governments, associations, consulting firms and residents for more effective management of local resources. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/watershedwatch\/uri-watershed-watch-quality-assurance-project-plans-qapps\/\">Click here for our Field and Laboratory Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Available monitoring data includes the following parameters:<\/p>\n<table style=\"height: 219px\" border=\"0\" width=\"718\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"53%\">Water Clarity&nbsp;(Secchi depth &#8211; lakes and ponds)<\/td>\n<td width=\"47%\">Chlorophyll (lakes and ponds,&nbsp;some rivers)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"53%\">Water Depth<\/td>\n<td width=\"47%\">Total and Dissolved Phosphorus<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"53%\">Water Temperature<\/td>\n<td width=\"47%\">Total, Nitrate-, and Ammonium- Nitrogen<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"53%\">Dissolved Oxygen (deep sites\/streams)<\/td>\n<td width=\"47%\">Chloride<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"53%\">pH<\/td>\n<td width=\"47%\">Fecal coliform and enterococci bacteria<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"53%\" height=\"20\">Alkalinity<\/td>\n<td width=\"47%\">Salinity (estuarine sites)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong><a title=\"URI Watershed Watch Monitoring Data\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/watershedwatch\/uri-watershed-watch-monitoring-data\/\">Click here for links to the monitoring data<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/watershedwatch\/data\/historic-data\/csv-data-files\/\">Click here for monitoring data CSV files available for downloading<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Sample collection interval is dependent upon volunteer effort and monitoring environment (i.e. bacteria available monthly for rivers, tri-seasonally for lakes and ponds).<\/p>\n<p>Water quality data is available online as pdf documents, or upon request in either hard copy or in electronic spreadsheet form. In addition annual\/biennial reports covering 1988 through 1998 are housed in numerous local libraries, as well as the Pell Marine Library at URI&#8217;s Narragansett Bay Campus.&nbsp;Due to the very extensive dataset available we&#8217;re only posting online data from the last completed five monitoring &nbsp;seasons. But we do maintain a database with all results going back to 1988.
