Opened in September of 2006 on our 21st anniversary, our Headquarters provided the first real home for EMS at URI. Prior to this, we had occupied a section of the basement in a converted dormitory and then also an old building (see pictures below). Our new headquarters has separate male and female bunkrooms, showers, a garage apparatus bay, office space, day room, kitchen/dining area and a full classroom.
Our building is located in the northwest corner of the Kingston campus at the intersection of Plains Rd./Flagg Rd. (565 Plains Rd.).

It is equipped with a digital projector, screen, large whiteboard, training tables and chairs. The room will accomodate a seating capacity of 50 people and will be available for training use for EMS, police and other public safety services in the area. The room will also serve as the meeting area for our general membership and for CPR classes and other public education programs. If you would like to use are classroom for your training please fill out the “Classroom Request” form in the Documents/Forms section
Our apparatus bay can accommodate two ambulances. It is equipped with a PlymoVent Exhaust Extraction system to allow the ambulance to run indoors and to prevent fumes from entering the building. The bay also has a shoreline electrical cord to charge the batteries and keep the block warm during the winter.
