Biography

Dr. Chen is an adjunct professor in the Department of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics at the University of Rhode Island and the research director of the Institute for the Study of International Aspects of Competition. She received a Ph.D. in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from the University of Rhode Island in 2010, a M.A. in International Law and Business from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University in 2000, and a B.A. in International Relations from National Taiwan University in 1995. She has taught environmental economics, microeconomics, and public finance at the University of Rhode Island and worked as an economic policy analyst for the government of Taiwan. Her interests include environmental economics, international economics, and political economy.
