Self-paced ATL Conversation on Grief and Trauma Informed Teaching

We are thrilled to announce the launch of this self-paced ATL Conversation: this is a collection of resources you can explore and engage with at your leisure on Brightspace.  We are characterizing it as a “conversation” to not only align with our ATL Conversations series of workshops we offer throughout the year, but also because you will have the option to engage in the creation and information curation process as our learning on the topic and needs of our community continue to evolve.
More succinctly, this is a conversation for you and guided by you.

Voluntary exposure to the curated materials in this self-paced conversation about grief and trauma in teaching and learning should help participants:
1. Articulate how grief impacts our interactions with others, including interactions that are centered on learning.
2. Implement one or more best practices in moving forward with grief, which include ways to support colleagues, students, and yourself.
What you personally get out of it will depend on the resources you access and explore, your reflections, and your contributions.

Anyone interested in enrolling can email their request directly to teach@uri.edu.
