2019 Gonfalon Bearer

Sydney Robinson

Eneida Bennett
Major: Human Studies, concentration in Gender and Women’s Studies
Eneida is an excellent representative of the Alan Shawn Feinstein College of Education and Professional Studies. She was perfectly content working as a paralegal for a Providence law firm for 15 years after receiving her associate’s degree in 2001. That all changed in 2013, when Bennett had a conversation with her future mother-in-law who convinced her to continue her studies and get a bachelor’s degree. Unsure of her direction, her advisor urged her to try the Gender and Women’s Studies courses that ultimately gave her a new sense of purpose. When Bennett accepts her bachelor’s degree in Human Studies, she will do so with a new mission. Eneida wants to find a way to make a positive impact on issues that women face every day; to explore social services and community organizations where she can volunteer to help women and hopes to serve on boards that will further the cause.
