Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is the use of multiple integrated tactics to
manage pests to an economically acceptable level. IPM is achieved through
monitoring and identifying pest problems, determining when treatments are
necessary, and evaluating the success of management techniques used. It focuses
on minimizing negative impacts on the environment. URI Cooperative Extension
and research staff provide the programs and services highlighted here for
commercial growers and the Rhode Island community.

SLF Update (to replace Beech Leaf Update)
