July 10-15, 2017 in Kingston, RI
Join us for a week of fun music making! This full day string camp is open to all students of bowed string instruments from grades 3-12 and will offer a variety of high quality music courses, including string orchestra, small chamber ensembles, music history and theory classes, interactive workshops, evening concerts and activities, and guest performances. The overnight option is available to those entering the 7th grade this coming Fall and up through grade 12; they will check-in on July 9. Housing and Dining:
All residential students will be staying in dorms based on a double occupancy rate. There will be 1 trained student counselor per 10 student campers, and the student counselors will shadow the musicians’ schedules throughout the week of the camp, fully supervising students at mealtimes, rehearsals, flex hours, pool time, evening activities, and walks between the dorms and all other points on campus. The students residing on campus will be provided 3 meals per full day, and commuter students 2 meals per day at the dining hall (3 If they plan to stay for the evening activities).
Financial aid is available to those that qualify.
A $100 non-refundable application fee/deposit is due with the initial application and must be received by June 19, 2017.
Scholarship Opportunity for RI Residents!
Students aged 11-14 (by June 1, 2017) that live and attend school in RI are eligible for a need-based scholarship through the The Providence Performing Arts Center.
