COMMITTEE DISCUSSION:

  • Groups to talk about re-recognition bill
    • SOLC
      • Group needs funding to run retreats.
      • Funds for retreats will be in senate accounts.
        • All groups will still be able to have retreats
        • SOLC will still complete forms for retreat
          • Signatories for the retreats will be the Student Senate President and Treasurer

        • Group submitted their mission statement emphasizing a close relationship to the Center for Student Leadership Development.
          • The submitted mission statement was taken from the SOLC website, not their constitution.
          • Group submitted the correct mission statement.
        • There is a SOLC class (classified as an internship)
          • The SOLC group has no relationship to the class.
        • Supplies for the organization are retreat specific
        • SOLC has been a gray area for many years
    • SSDP (Students for Sensible Drug Policy)
