Dietetics, B.S.

Dietetics is an applied science that draws from areas of biology, chemistry, math, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology and microbiology and applies scientific knowledge to human health and wellness while studying the social, economic, cultural, and psychological implications of food and eating. The BS in Dietetics is for those planning to become a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN) and is the application of knowledge about food and nutrition to help people achieve and maintain health.

Major Entry Requirements

  • Complete 30 units, including the following courses, earning no less than a C grade in each course and a GPA (for the set of courses) of 3.00
  • CHM 103/105; CHM 124; BIO 220/221; WRT 104; COM 100; STA 220; NFS 207 or 210; NFS 212G; BIO 110/103; and MTH 103.
