It encourages students to explore the vast world of marine biology while providing an important foundation in modern biological sciences as well as in chemistry, math, physics and oceanography.

- Complete at least 30 units and have an overall GPA of at least 2.00
- Complete the BIO and CHM courses needed to transfer from UC to the College of the Environment and Life Sciences
