Exploring Evidence: Ethics and AI

Online Workshop Series

Powerful AI systems and machine learning algorithms are increasingly influential in countless aspects of modern society, replacing humans in making many of the important decisions that shape our everyday lives. Although these technologies have the potential to improve our lives, citizens must be aware of and address the ethical issues that arise from this transformation.

Join the URI AI Lab and Dr. Rebecca Millsop (PhD, Massachusetts Institute of Technology)while we explore the interaction of AI, society, and ethics by focusing on how the massive amounts of data collected by these systems can be used in problematic ways, increase discrimination, broaden inequity, and engender the violation of human rights.

These standalone workshops can be taken
individually OR as a full series.
