URI uses the QM Rubric Standards as guidelines for designing new online courses and as a strategy for improving existing courses. Quality Matters (QM) is a leader in quality assurance for online education. We have several faculty who are certified reviewers and are qualified to review your course against the Quality Matters rubric. The review provide you with tips to improve your course in terms of design efficiency, student engagement opportunities, and time-saving communication strategies, and if your course meets at least 85% of the standards, you are automatically qualified as an online teacher at URI! To set up a course review, please fill out our request form.
