Choose Technology Tools Carefully

Many tools are available to assist you with content creation and course delivery. Keep in
mind that tools and technology should be used purposefully to work toward your course’s
learning objectives. Choose tools that are really helpful to you rather than letting them distract
from your course’s goals. Check to see if there is an appropriate URI supported technology first
since there is IT support for these options and students are more likely to be familiar with them!

Brightspace Tools

These are some of the tools that are part of the Brightspace Learning Management System.

Brightspace Integrations

URI has set up connections with some third-party tools within Brightspace. Some of these require student payment or are only utilized by select departments. See the URI Brightspace Integrations page for details.
