Course design

Whether planning for a new course or redesigning an existing one, we generally ask ourselves: 

  • Who are my students?
  • What do they need to learn?
  • What role does my course play within their degree curriculum and their overall experience at URI?
  • What are the resources, spaces, and teaching modalities I can work with?
  • What are the key characteristics of the involved subject, teachers, and learners?
  • What other institutional and contextual circumstances inform the choices I can make?
