Have you ever wished grading could be different? Are you passionate about equity in education? Join us in the “Grading for Growth” book club where participants will become familiar with alternative grading practices (such as standards-based grading) and how it can encourage students to make mistakes, revise their work, and increase their understanding of course material. Alternative grading is in alignment with equitable grading, which includes a focus on increasing accuracy and motivating students to succeed. We will discuss both smaller steps to incorporate alternative grading and full course revision through reading the book “Grading for Growth” by David Clark and Robert Talbert.
