Bobbie Joia-Nievera

Biography

Bobbie Joia-Nievera initially joined the ATC as a proctor and now serves as the first full-time technician. She previously worked as an elementary teacher assistant, and was a successful small business owner for 13 years. Her background also includes human resources and retail management experience.

When Bobbie isn’t supporting students at the ATC, she loves to camp, hike and travel with her family and her dog. Quiet nights at home around the fire are a favorite past time as well, and she loves to visit Wilcox Park and the beaches of Westerly, RI.

In addition to completing many courses at CCRI, Bobbie has also completed trainings for MHFA, SafeZone, and obtained a Cornerstone Professional Proctor Badge.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that the  Academic Testing Center facility and equipment are
    functional and effectively support exam administration
  • Prepares assistive technology and exam materials for daily testing sessions
  • Provides high-level service and technical assistance to faculty, students, and staff
