Biography

Before venturing into higher education, Rachel honed her skills in an Administrative Operations role within the field of VIOP Telecom Communications. This experience equipped her with expertise in purchasing and complex administrative work, laying a solid foundation for her current role with ATL.

As a first-generation college graduate, Rachel’s journey began at the Community College of Rhode Island, where she dedicated herself to enhancing her academic standing. Successfully graduating with an Associates of Arts in General Studies, Rachel seamlessly transitioned to the University of Rhode Island. In the Spring of 2018 Rachel earned a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies with cum laude honors.  

Rachel’s commitment to education and her diverse skill set, experiences, education, and perspective make her a strong asset to the Office of Advancement of Teaching and Learning, where she continues to contribute to the advancement of higher education.

Rachel does her best to live by the words of “you can always change your mind”.

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Provides direct administrative support to the Associate Vice Provost, and all ATL Team Leads, including calendar management and group and individual meeting coordination. 
  • Assists with complex clerical issues to support all teams within ATL including day to day practical solution oriented organization and long-term planning and event coordination.
  • Overseas purchasing requisitions of all department needs in compliance with State and university purchasing rules and regulations.
  • Manages operational resources allocated to the office including building space, office needs, and resource acquisition.
