The Office of Capital Projects provides professional project management services to the University for all facilities renovations and new construction. We offer a connection between many organizations and help facilitate phases of planning, budgeting, scheduling, design, construction, inspecting and furnishing, etc. Capital Projects consists of 8 staff members who work together in making sure projects are within budget, on time, adhere to various standards, and records retention. On occasion, the University outsources for additional Project Management. Some of our responsibilities include:
- Prepare and submission of project proposals
- Oversees the design of new buildings and renovations from conception to completion
- Secures state agencies to review each stage for compliance with state and federal building codes
- Hires architects, engineers, landscaping and other design services for projects
- Hires construction management and inspection services required for project execution
- Develop and manage project budgets
- Develop and manage overall project schedules
