All Project Managers strive for projects that are carried out on time and on budget, with sensitivity and concern for the needs of end-users and the University community as a whole. There are many complex issues to be addressed during the course of a project including siting, utility service, permitting, contractor oversight and construction quality. As a public institution, The University of Rhode island is subject to laws and policies that define how competitiveness and fairness goals will be addressed in the selection of designers and contractors, how contractors will be paid and how disputes will be settled.
