Biography

Ellen Sunbury joined URI in November 2022 as the academic advisor for the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to joining URI, she worked for over eight years in Colorado at Metropolitan State University of Denver where she served most recently as the academic advisor for the Department of Health Professions. 

Ellen takes a holistic approach to advising and hopes to provide all students with a safe and welcoming environment where they can not only plan their academic pathway but also address questions and concerns, connect with campus resources, problem solve challenges, and celebrate successes.
