Biography
Dr. Kosean Kokeh, DCJ is an adjunct professor at the University of Rhode Island, specializing in criminal justice and victim representation. With extensive experience in community corrections and reentry work, Dr. Kokeh combines academic expertise with practical application to address systemic challenges in the justice system. His doctoral research, An Examination of Media Portrayals in Homicides, explored the intersection of race, media bias, and victim representation, providing critical insights into disparities in crime reporting.
In addition to teaching, Dr. Kokeh serves as an Senior Associate at Justice System Partners, where he focuses on transforming criminal justice spaces to better serve both the people doing the work and those impacted by the system. Passionate about creating equitable and supportive environments, Dr. Kokeh is committed to equipping students and practitioners with the tools to foster meaningful change and promote justice for all.
