Biography

Luzi Shi is an Assistant Professor at the Criminology and Criminal Justice Department, University of Rhode Island since Fall 2023. Her research aims to understand how stereotypes, misperceptions, and negative emotions shape criminal behaviors and crime control policy preferences. To this end, she conducts experiments and analyzes survey data. She is also interested in media, gender, and inequality.
