Alex was selected because she exemplifies the COE community spirit and has been a dedicated student leader. She has leveraged her time as President of SWE to support women in engineering, develop relationships with alumni and employers, and recruit the next class of women engineers. Alex most recently served as the President of the Society of Women Engineers, and previously held the positions of Treasurer, Communications Chair, and Historian. She assisted Dr. Valerie Maier Speredelozzi with the Naval Science and Technology Coalition, a joint program with UConn supported by the Department of Defense. Upon graduation, Alex will be a Manufacturing Engineer for Plug Power.
