The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that Fall 2025 Commencement will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 10 a.m. in the Ryan Center. All undergraduate and graduate students who complete their degree requirements by the end of the fall semester are eligible to participate.
President Marc Parlange will preside over the ceremony, which features the conferral of degrees. Participating graduates will have their names announced, cross the stage, and have professional photos taken.
Registration
To participate, registration is required by Oct. 17. The number of guest tickets allotted will be announced by Nov. 1 and will be based on the number of RSVPs and venue capacity. Graduates who register after the deadline will not be guaranteed guest tickets.

Based on the number of registered graduates and venue capacity, the University is pleased to announce that each graduate will be permitted to bring up to eight guests to this ceremony. Graduates who register after Nov. 1 will not be guaranteed guest tickets.
An email will be sent on Tuesday, Nov. 4, to graduates who have registered to attend the ceremony, with a link to download their electronic tickets and share with their guests. As a reminder, graduates must be preregistered to participate, and each guest, regardless of age, must have a ticket with a unique QR code to enter the venue. The ceremony will also be livestreamed and recorded for family and friends to view virtually.
Regalia
If you plan to participate in Fall 2025 Commencement, you must wear academic regalia, which can be purchased through the URI Campus Store after December 1st. Regalia which was pre-ordered directly through Jostens, prior to October 16th, will also be available after December 1st for pick up at the URI Campus Store.
