Aimee is an exemplary undergraduate student in Early Childhood Education and the recipient of the URI ECE academic excellence award. She received the NHS Community Service Award. She is joining KDP this spring. She is a member of several non-profit organizations, and has been placed on the Dean’s List throughout her time at URI. Aimee is mature, calm, poised, always prepared, and received consistently high ratings from clinical educators. She is graduating with a degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Human Development and Family Science. Community is incredibly important to Aimee, and she has been able to give back to hers through roles such as a teacher assistant in local childcare settings and elementary schools, as a student teacher, and as a member of a local nonprofit. In Aimee’s words, “I hope to use teaching to empower the communities around me.”
