2018 Main Commencement Ceremony

URI Quadrangle
Our Main Commencement Ceremony recognizes the achievements of all of our graduates in a single event on the URI Quadrangle. Student diplomas are not presented at the main ceremony. Undergraduate degrees are presented at the individual college ceremonies.
Live Streaming
The ceremony will be streamed live on URI’s Livestream channel for people at home. On campus, the ceremony will be livecast in Edwards Hall, the Ram’s Den in the Memorial Union, Mackal Field House and Keaney Gymnasium. Viewing sites open at 11:30 a.m.

Noon
Bachelor’s degree candidates assemble in academic attire on Lower College Road in areas that are designated for each college.
12:20 p.m.
Bagpipes and 50th Class step-off
12:30 p.m.
Bell tolls and procession begins. After the procession is complete, Commencement exercises will begin and run approximately 90 minutes.
