URI is introducing a new tradition and format for the spring 2024 commencement ceremonies to better celebrate graduates and provide an enhanced and inclusive experience for graduates and guests. The University will honor graduates over three days, May 17-19, in formal ceremonies at the Ryan Center, and will host other celebratory events throughout the weekend. The ceremonies will recognize both undergraduate and graduate degree candidates from the respective colleges.
To participate, graduates must register for their college ceremony. Registration is still open until further notice. Graduates who registered before March 1st should have received an email in mid-March, announcing the number of guest tickets allotted for each individual college ceremony, which is based on the number of expected RSVPs and venue capacity. Graduates who register after March 1st will receive an email within the next two weeks. Information on guest tickets for each ceremony can also be found below by clicking on the link to each college ceremony.
