Learning Objectives
This program is suited to students from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds. The goals for this program are for graduates to:
- Have the practical knowledge and skills necessary for data science careers, including machine learning, data management, analysis of large and varied datasets, ethical considerations, and visualization for effective decision-making and communication about data.
- Formulate innovative solutions to complex problems by applying a theoretical foundation of data science in statistics, machine learning theory, and mathematical methods within divergent domain areas.
