The University of Rhode Island provides robust database management services to support the institution’s critical operations and core applications. URI’s database environment includes both Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL (MS SQL) systems, offering secure and reliable solutions for online transaction processing (OLTP), data warehousing (DW), and other enterprise workloads. These databases are integral to the university’s IT infrastructure and are managed by the ITS Infrastructure Database team.
