Brittany Moreira

Biography

Brittany Moreira has been with the University of Rhode Island’s Office of Emergency Management for over three years as a Campus Preparedness Planner. In her role, she coordinates emergency management plans, ensures campus readiness, and works closely with various departments to enhance the university’s preparedness efforts. Prior to joining URI, Brittany served as a 911 police and fire dispatcher in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island for nearly 10 years, during which she was heavily involved as an emergency management volunteer, particularly in supporting COVID-19 vaccine clinics. She holds a Master of Public Administration from URI, a Master of Science in Emergency Management from the University of New Haven, and a Graduate Certificate in GIS and Geospatial Technology from URI. Brittany is currently working toward certification as a Certified Emergency Manager (CEM).
