Rhody Racing is interdisciplinary and encourage any URI student to join!
Mission:
As of present day, The University of Rhode Island has never had a team participate in the Formula SAE competitions. We are proud to say that we will become the first ever team at URI to build and compete with a Formula SAE racecar. This only further inspires our already determined and hard-working team members to make history at our university!

- We divide our work into five categories: Suspension, Powertrain, Electrical, Chassis, and Baja.
- Each of these design teams are led by our team leads, who guide our members through assignments and projects considering their part of the car.

The Formula and Baja SAE competitions are part of the SAE Collegiate Design Series, which is part of SAE International. Every year the competitions gather over 150 teams with 2,500+ participants from 20+ different countries.
