Black and Brown Women in Engineering Science Technology Sisterhood (BBWESTS)

Mission
The Black and Brown Women in Engineering Science Technology Sisterhood is an “organization that embodies the support and advancement of all underrepresented women-identifying looking to succeed. With the core values of respect, equity, ethical leadership, integrity and involvement, we strive to offer resources and opportunities to achieve the retention and elevation of our sisters to further the development of diverse and adaptable communities.”

Vision:
Abiding by this mission, our organization reflects the primary goals of offering resources, opportunities and furthering the development of diverse and adaptable communities for Black and Brown Women across URI’s campus. Furthermore, acknowledging the value of technical experience in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics – we aim to establish a pipeline of people, resources, and information and to spotlight and inspire.

Membership:
Students are always welcome to join us for General Body meetings and special events; we do take attendance, so we encourage joining at the start of the semester to get consideration for Conferences and Cosmetic Chemistry events!
