Recruiting URI Engineering Talent
Employers who engage with the College of Engineering on-campus meet highly motivated students, are able to promote and increase brand awareness, build a talent pool of candidates for internship and job opportunities, and network with University and College stakeholders. Employers can recruit URI engineering students in a number of ways including posting positions on Handshake, attending career fairs, and hosting on-campus networking events. Additionally, employers can share job postings with Lauren Creamer, Employer Relations Coordinator, to be disbursed directly to majors of interest.

Flagship Engineering Recruitment Events
The URI Center for Career and Experiential Education (CCEE) hosts several fairs every year targeting specific industries, including the Engineering & Technology Career Fair, which is typically held on the first Wednesday in October. Registration fees are determined and published by CCEE and can be found on Handshake.
2025-2026 Career Fairs
Engineering & Technology Career Fair – October 1, 2025
Ocean Engineering Career Fair – Date TBA, typically late February/early March
Spring Career Expo – March 25, 2026
Host an Event
Outside of the major career fairs, employers can recruit on-campus by hosting their own events. Events range in size from large-scale networking events to one-on-one drop-in hours. Most commonly employers host on-campus interviews and small-scale networking events. Our Employer Relations Coordinator can work with you to design an event that fits your needs.
Additionally, employers can partner directly with any engineering student organization. We have 20+ active engineering groups on-campus who are eager to have employers visit for industry talks, panel discussions, and mock interviews. Student organizations are also happy to organize field trips to employer sites, allowing students to get a real feel for industry before they apply to internships.
