Biography
Camila M. Quiroga is a Bolivian-American originally from Providence, Rhode Island. She is currently a sophomore at the University of Rhode Island double majoring in Cell and Molecular Biology and Neuroscience. After getting her degree, Camila plans on getting her master’s degree, focusing on research for a few years, and then going onto medical school to become a pediatric neurologist. Over the summer she participated in the URI SURF program and worked with Dr. Manuel and Dr. Quinlan. Her research focused on tracking the corticospinal tract in rabbit models. During her free time, she enjoys making jewelry, reading, baking, calligraphy, and spending time with her cat.
