Biography

Shaily Quiroa Gamez is originally from Providence, Rhode Island. She went to Classical High School, in which she was part of the math team, Science Olympiad, helping hand, girls’ soccer, and class president. Shaily is currently a sophomore at URI majoring in Electrical Engineering and minoring in Math, Engineering Entrepreneurship, and Robotics Engineering. This past summer, she participated in the RI-INBRE Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program, where she was working with Professor Stegagno in the robotics engineering lab, and is continuing research with Dr. Stegagno and Dr. Reza Abiri this year. She worked on developing a simulation for Physical Human Robot Interaction with drones. After completing her degree, Shaily would like to pursue her masters degree.
