Shayla Samayoa

Shayla Samayoa is originally from Massachusetts, born and raised in the small city of Attleboro. During her childhood here she moved to Florida for one year and then came back to live in Pawtucket, Rhode Island since 7th grade. She attended Charles E. Shea High School where she was involved in multiple programs and extracurricular activities. These included being part of the Pawtucket cheer team, where she was captain for two years out of four and became 2x State Champions with her team, National Honor and Spanish Society, and Designer for the Shea Fashion Show. She also loves the idea of science and how it is always changing, and with this passion she completed a 4-year CTE bio medical program at her school. In this program she organized and ran three blood drives, raising her determination to save lives for people who are in need. She is currently entering her freshman year at URI as a Neuroscience major. After completing her Bachelor’s degree, she plans to study for the MCAT and attend medical school. During her free time, Shayla enjoys reading murder and romantic style books, working, trying new foods and even going on walks while listening to music.
